The Minutes Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to civic transparency.
We take public meeting minutes — from city councils, school boards, and local committees — and turn them into short, readable summaries shared on social media.
Why It Matters
Decisions about housing, schools, roads, policing, and the environment are made in local government meetings. But meeting minutes are often hard to find — and even harder to understand.
We believe everyone has a right to know what’s happening. Not just policy experts or city hall insiders. Everyone.
What We Stand For
CLARITY – We translate bureaucratic language into everyday terms.
ACCESS – We believe everyone deserves to know what decisions affect them.
COMMUNITY VOICE – We foster civic curiosity and local involvement.
TRUST – We present information accurately and without bias.
